Our neighborhood is next to Historic Oakwood, within immediate proximity to Downtown Raleigh's best. Our community is diverse and tight-knit, considered the most up-and-coming in Downtown Raleigh. Its a mishmash of all kinds of people -- young professionals, families with kids and retirees. While it is a downtown, urban community, the neighborhood is certainly considered quiet and safe. Looking to travel outside of downtown? Were a close commute to I-440, which connects to the rest of the city and its surrounding areas, including Durham and Chapel Hill.

Parking is free, on-street, directly next to and in front of our home. We do not offer off-street parking.


What It's Like to Stay in Downtown Raleigh:

Staying in a downtown Raleigh neighborhood means that you will experience a diverse area with all kinds of wonderful people -- black, white, hispanic, LGBTQ, young professionals, families with kids, and elderly people who's kin settled here in the early 1900's.

Our own family has lived in this neighborhood for 15 years, and we love it! We raise our young children here, and have lots of different kinds of friends.

While certainly urban in nature, the neighborhood is considered quite safe.

If you're looking for a vibrant community with a mishmash of people, housing and places to visit with-in a 15/20-min walk, this is a great neighborhood for you. If you're someone who's intimidated by an urban feel with the occasional gritty street corner or wayward drifter, trying another part of Raleigh might be best.
